Do More With Your Dog trick title levels

Standard Trick Dog Titles

Novice Trick Dog
  • Demonstrate 15 tricks.
  • Tricks can come from any level (Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert).
  • Advanced or Expert tricks count as 2 if performed without luring; otherwise as 1 trick
  • Luring allowed on up to 50% of tricks
  • Prerequisite: Novice Trick Dog
  • Demonstrate 12 tricks at Intermediate level or higher.
  • Advanced/Expert tricks count as 2 if performed without luring.
  • Luring allowed on no more than 25% of tricks.
  • Tricks may be reused from NTD .
  • Prerequisite: Intermediate Trick Dog.
  • Demonstrate 5 tricks at Advanced level or higher.
  • Pointed finger cues okay, but no luring.

  • Prerequisite: Advanced Trick Dog
  • Demonstrate 5 tricks at Expert level.
  • No luring allowed.

At Bright Canines, we can evaluate your Novice – Expert and Novice Masters – Champion Masters titles, but Trick Dog Champion and Grand Champion titles are evaluated by the Do More With Your Dog Advisory Board.

Trick Dog Masters Titles

Novice Trick Dog Masters
  • Prerequisites: Novice Trick Dog (NTD)
  • Demonstrate 30 Novice level tricks. They must be Novice tricks, and not other levels.
  • You can use the Novice tricks that you used to get your NTD title. If you use the same evaluator, you do not need to show them those tricks again.  
  • Tricks do not have to be performed on the same day. Your evaluator may sign of on each one individually.
  • Prerequisites: Intermediate Trick Dog (ITD) and Novice Trick Dog Masters (NTD-M)
  • Demonstrate 20 Intermediate level tricks. They must be Intermediate tricks, and not other levels.
  • You can use the Intermediate tricks that you used to get your Intermediate Trick Dog (ITD) title.   
  • Tricks do not have to be performed on the same day. 
  • Prerequisites: Advanced Trick Dog (ATD) and Intermediate Trick Dog Masters (ITD-M)
  • Demonstrate 10 Advanced level tricks. They must be Advanced tricks, and not other levels.
  • You can use the Advanced tricks that you used to get your ATD title. 
  • Tricks do not have to be performed on the same day. Your evaluator may sign off on each one individually.
  • Prerequisites: Expert Trick Dog (ETD) and Advanced Trick Dog Masters (ATD-M)
  • Demonstrate 10 Expert level tricks. They must be Expert tricks, and not other levels.
  • You can use the Expert tricks that you used to get your ETD title. If you use the same evaluator, you do not need to show them those tricks again.  
  • Tricks do not have to be performed on the same day. 
  • Submit an additional 31 tricks of any level, which will equal a total of 101 tricks that you’ve shown.  
  • PRE-REQUISITES: Expert Trick Dog Masters (ETD-M) and Trick Dog Champion (TDCH)
  • Masters titles are about quantity of tricks. By achieving Novice through Expert Masters titles you have already demonstrated 70 tricks. To earn the Champion Masters title you will demonstrate an additional 31 tricks, bringing your total to 101. You must also submit to your evaluator a written list of all 101 tricks.
  • The 31 tricks may be of any level. Luring may not be used for these 31 tricks.
